(CCR) Blog

Image
Sadly, this will be the last blog for my music video. I sure did have fun throughout the  process of making this video. Especially the blogs it's almost like having a youtube channel.  It feels like I can come and speak about anything on here. Almost like you guys are  my  other  family. I will surely miss blogging. But hopefully, we get more  projects after the break. But onto the questions ...      1. How does your product use or challenge convention AND how does represent social groups or issues? Throughout my music video, I included clips of me holding signs which relate to the black lives matter (BLM) movement. One of these signs includes the words "I can't breathe." Which were the last words that George Floyd said before dying. George Floyd was an African-American man who died in the hands of police officer Derek Chauvin. The death of George Floyd went worldwide starting the (BLM) movement in May 2020. Also, the reason that the song for...

Music Video Blog

Today's the day! The video above is the final product of my music video. For this blog, I will talk about the experience before and after doing this video. Heading into this project I was a little nervous. I was nervous because I didn't think I had the capability to recreate a music video. LIKE EVER! But I  knew it had to get done so I went headfirst into it. The first step was to pick a song, this was where I  had to use my creativity. Out of all the songs I ended up choosing "The Bigger Picture" by Lil Baby.  The reason I decided to do this song was that Lil baby is one of my favorite rappers. Also, the meaning  behind the song was the "black lives matters" movement. After the tragic death of George Floyd which  was a man who lost his life at the hands of the police. Or the people that are supposed to "protect the  people" and make the streets safer. George Floyd is just one of the black people who have lost their  lives due to this type of brut...

Editing Blog For My Music Video

Image
Today, I did the editing for my music video. Just like the editing for my commercial I used iMovie.  iMovie is an app that is featured on iPhones. iMovie is an editing app which allows you to videos no  matter how short or long. The reason I decided to use this app again because it is very user-friendly.  Also, its on my phone which makes it ten times easier. It also leaves no watermark which is required  by submission. Using this app I am able to edit my videos from home and on the road. The editing for  my music video wasn't that bad. The part where I had to edit was not hard. The transitions and  touching the lighting was not hard. But the part that I found kind of difficult was put the film in the  correct order right. Gathering the extra clips was hard because many of them had water marks. So, for  this part I had to cute some watermarks out. For this part I was able to use the "Photos" app. Which is  featured on iPhone this app al...

Filming Blog For My Music Video

Image
For my music video, the filming process went quite easily. I am going to explain step by step how the  filming process went. To begin with, I had to make sure the setting was right. This meaning the  area and t he weather. I was unable to film the week that I wanted to. Due to the fact that I went to  Orlando for my  whole thanksgiving break. So when we got back on Monday I started my film. In my  film I was  able to  capture the beautiful setting of the sun that day. After that I was able to gather my  clothing. In the film  I wore my "black lives matter" shirt with khaki shorts.  The purpose of this is so  that the audience can see  what the purpose of why the song was made. Which was due to the George  Floyd. Who is just one of the  many African Americans who have lost their life in the hand of police.  Which are suppose to "protect the  people." Then I had to gather all my signs that you will s...
