Planning For My Vans Commercial

 Props: Due to the circumstances of corona the main prop that I will have is a skateboard. That I will ride and do a little tricks. I will study some tricks and attempt to them in the video while wearing my vans. If we were able to I would have went to the skatepark near my house and allow some of the skaters to get a chance to get some tricks wearing vans on film. 


Costumes: I will go out to the vans store and purchase two vans shirts one being black and the other being red to match with my back and red checkerboard vans that I have owned prior to the commercial.


Schedule: My commercial will have 4 takes at the same time on different days. They will each consist of something different whether that being clothing or tricks. They will all be taken at 6 o'clock to relate to the actual commercials to give of that sunset vibe.

1st Take- October 25, 2020. 6:00 pm

2nd Take- October 26, 2020 6:00 pm

3rd Take- October 28, 2020 6:00 pm

4th Take- October 29, 2020 6:00 pm


Location: Due to the skatepark not being open I will being recording my video all around in different parts my neighborhood. I live in a safe neighborhood to where my neighbors won't mind anything.


Backup Plan: Lets say, that it continues to rain as it did the past week I will make the video inside of my garage there is enough space in there to take some clips of some tricks on the skateboard while wearing the product. I will have to add some light features in there to still give of that sunset vibe.

Today's the day! The video above is the final product of my music video. For this blog, I will talk about the experience before and after doing this video. Heading into this project I was a little nervous. I was nervous because I didn't think I had the capability to recreate a music video. LIKE EVER! But I  knew it had to get done so I went headfirst into it. The first step was to pick a song, this was where I  had to use my creativity. Filming Process

 For my Vans commercial the filming process went quite easily. I am going to explain step by step how the filming process went. To begin with, I had to make sure the setting was right. This meaning the area and the weather. It was raining for most of the weekend so luckily on Sunday I was able to start my film. This was also important because I wanted the video to start of with a sunset. Although I wasn't able to capture the sunset I was still able to capture the beautiful setting of the sun that day. After that I was able to gather my clothing. I wore two sets of the clothing in the film. The first being a black & white hat, a plain white T-shirt, khaki shorts, and my black & white checkerboard Vans. The second being a red & white visor, the same plain white T-shirts, the same khaki shorts, and my red & white checkerboard Vans. Introduction To The Music Video Project

Good afternoon, my name is Nicholas Smith. Today, I was given the opportunity to create a music video project. Given to me by lovely teachers Mr. Katz and Ms. Marchionne. Through the AICE MEDIA department. This will be my second project given to me and I can't wait. For this project I've  decided to work on it by myself.
