Planning For My Music Video

Song Title: "The Bigger Picture" by Lil Baby. (music video remix by Nicholas Smith) 

Props: Due to the circumstances of corona the main props that I will have is 4 poster boards. The first will say "no justice, no peace on it. The second one will say "end racism" on it. The third one will say "say their names" and will consists of some of the black lives that have been lost in the hand of the police. The last one will say "black lives matter" on it. 

Costumes: I will buy a t-shirt from amazon that says "black lives matter" on it with a fist on it. I will wear this in all 4 clips of my music video. Depending of my budget I may be able to purchase a mask or wristband to go along with the shirt.

Schedule: My commercial will have 4 takes at the same time on different days. They will each consist of the same clothing but different poster boards. They will all be taken at 4 o'clock to relate to the actual music video as the sun is out. Although, in my video I won't be allowed to have the same amount of people to represent protesting due to the current virus (Coronavirus).

1st Take- November 26, 2020. 4:00 pm

2nd Take- November 27, 2020 4:00 pm

3rd Take- November 29, 2020 4:00 pm

4th Take- November 30, 2020 4:00 pm

Location: Due to the me not being open to go in areas with a lot of people. I will being recording my video all around in different parts my neighborhood. I live in a safe neighborhood to where my neighbors won't mind anything.

Backup Plan: Lets say for example it begins to rain I can take the video in my garage. I will just have to add some light features in there to represent the sunlight.

Today's the day! The video above is the final product of my music video. For this blog, I will talk about the experience before and after doing this video. Heading into this project I was a little nervous. I was nervous because I didn't think I had the capability to recreate a music video. LIKE EVER! But I  knew it had to get done so I went headfirst into it. The first step was to pick a song, this was where I  had to use my creativity. Filming Process

 For my Vans commercial the filming process went quite easily. I am going to explain step by step how the filming process went. To begin with, I had to make sure the setting was right. This meaning the area and the weather. It was raining for most of the weekend so luckily on Sunday I was able to start my film. This was also important because I wanted the video to start of with a sunset. Although I wasn't able to capture the sunset I was still able to capture the beautiful setting of the sun that day. After that I was able to gather my clothing. I wore two sets of the clothing in the film. The first being a black & white hat, a plain white T-shirt, khaki shorts, and my black & white checkerboard Vans. The second being a red & white visor, the same plain white T-shirts, the same khaki shorts, and my red & white checkerboard Vans. Introduction To The Music Video Project

Good afternoon, my name is Nicholas Smith. Today, I was given the opportunity to create a music video project. Given to me by lovely teachers Mr. Katz and Ms. Marchionne. Through the AICE MEDIA department. This will be my second project given to me and I can't wait. For this project I've  decided to work on it by myself. Due to the current circumstances I have chosen to do this project  alone. I don't want to interfere with others resulting with risk of the life of myself and others.
