My Pitch

To begin with, today marks the day that I start jotting down pitches to present. I thought this would be

the easiest step of this project. As it allows for lots of creativity and imagination to flow through your

head. I was wrong this part was extremely hard for me to come up with. I asked friends , friends of

friends, and family for ideas and still winded up with nothing. Which left me with more stress on my

plate knowing that this is one the more crucial parts of the project. Without pitches there is no

foundations I cannot continue on with the project without them. Though I did seem to find an attraction

to one of my pitches that dealt with interracial couples. I felt that if I was able to get a pitch with this 

topic there was so many surrounding topics I could dwell into. With that being said my first pitch is " 

Interracial couple sticks together and dominates the odds of society." I believe this would be an 

interesting topic as even to this day many interracial couples are judged for their happiness. For my 

second pitch I came up with "A family takes a road trip into danger." I believe this would be an

interesting topic as a family that thinks there in for a fun getaway. Actually ends up running into danger

where things take a turn for the worst. Which would have the audience on their seats. Between these

two pitches I would say I favor the first more as I could comfortably elaborate and well execute the first

one.

Today's the day! The video above is the final product of my music video. For this blog, I will talk about the experience before and after doing this video. Heading into this project I was a little nervous. I was nervous because I didn't think I had the capability to recreate a music video. LIKE EVER! But I  knew it had to get done so I went headfirst into it. The first step was to pick a song, this was where I  had to use my creativity. Out of all the songs I ended up choosing "The Bigger Picture" by Lil Baby.  The reason I decided to do this song was that Lil baby is one of my favorite rappers. Also, the meaning  behind the song was the "black lives matters" movement. After the tragic death of George Floyd which  was a man who lost his life at the hands of the police. Filming Process

 For my Vans commercial the filming process went quite easily. I am going to explain step by step how the filming process went. To begin with, I had to make sure the setting was right. This meaning the area and the weather. It was raining for most of the weekend so luckily on Sunday I was able to start my film. This was also important because I wanted the video to start of with a sunset. Although I wasn't able to capture the sunset I was still able to capture the beautiful setting of the sun that day. After that I was able to gather my clothing. I wore two sets of the clothing in the film. The first being a black & white hat, a plain white T-shirt, khaki shorts, and my black & white checkerboard Vans. The second being a red & white visor, the same plain white T-shirts, the same khaki shorts, and my red & white checkerboard Vans. Introduction To The Music Video Project

Good afternoon, my name is Nicholas Smith. Today, I was given the opportunity to create a music video project. Given to me by lovely teachers Mr. Katz and Ms. Marchionne. Through the AICE MEDIA department. This will be my second project given to me and I can't wait. For this project I've  decided to work on it by myself.
